INRESCOS first Scholarship for Company Internship

Le Hoang

Le Hoang Vuong Nguyen from PhD in Technology at USN has been awarded a prestigious internship grant to collaborate with Nanize AS in Narvik

We are happy to announce that Le Hoang Vuong Nguyen, one of our dedicated PhD candidates, has been awarded a prestigious internship grant to collaborate with Nanize AS, located in Narvik.

Le Hoang previously held a master’s degree in Micro and Nano Technology from the University of South-Eastern Norway. Her master's project was greatly inspired by the conditions in her homeland of Vietnam. During her master's work, she also received a scholarship for students with a sustainability perspective in their thesis. She says that sustainability has been at the heart of her thesis development.

This new opportunity marks a significant milestone in her academic and professional journey, promising to bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical industry applications.

Le Hoang’s primary expectation from this internship is to enhance her practical research skills in material synthesis within a real-world industrial setting. At Nanize AS, she will focus on adapting her expertise to the development of polysilazane-based coatings. This hands-on experience is invaluable, allowing her to translate her academic knowledge into industry-relevant applications.

She hopes that the insights and techniques gained during this internship will play a crucial role in the completion of her PhD. She believes that this internship fosters a collaboration between her project team at the University of South-Eastern Norway and Nanize AS, setting the stage for potential future joint projects. She says, "The support from INRESCOS not only introduces my PhD work and technical skills to industry partners but also enhances collaborations that span personal growth, academic groups, and industrial settings, creating a robust network that supports my career and research ambitions."

At INRESCOS, we believe in nurturing talent and providing opportunities that contribute to the holistic development of our researchers. This internship grant not only supports our PhD candidates' career and research ambitions but also strengthens the ties between academia and industry, creating a dynamic environment for future joint projects.

We are proud of Le Hoang’s achievements and look forward to the innovative contributions she will bring to both her academic pursuits and the industry. Her journey exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and the pursuit of excellence that INRESCOS stands for.

In 2025, INRESCOS has opened new internship grants! We encourage all eligible candidates to apply and take advantage of these opportunities to advance their research and professional development.
